Exact excerpt
Abstract: Claims a resolution of the Clay Navier-Stokes existence and smoothness problem in the negative direction: for every positive viscosity there exist smooth initial data and smooth forcing on R^3 admitting no global smooth solution with uniformly bounded kinetic energy. The blowup mechanism is an inward-spiraling, axially stretching vortex whose core concentrates while energy stays finite.
