Exact excerpt
For global distribution, the study used the Watkins & Worldwide Wheat G2B database of 1,007 wheat accessions, comprising 188 modern cultivars and 819 A.E. Watkins landraces. For selection in Chinese breeding, 628 modern Chinese cultivars and 177 Chinese landraces were genotyped; TaNPF7.6-A1mod frequency was compared across periods before 1980, 1981–1990, 1991–2000, 2001–2010, and 2011–2020. The reported frequency rose from 22.22% before 1980 to 81.05% in 2011–2020 among the modern Chinese cultivars.
