Exact excerpt
The randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled crossover trial enrolled adults aged 50–75 years recruited in Zaragoza, Spain, with biomarker-confirmed early symptomatic Alzheimer disease and an amnestic MCI phenotype; participants were native Spanish speakers and had sufficient hearing. Of 59 assessed, 39 entered the intervention phase and 37 were analyzed. Each completed one stimulation night and one sham night separated by a 14-day washout; the word-pair outcome used 32 patients, and no significant seven-day retention benefit was observed.
